All those weeks of training is about to pay off in one of the sporting calendar’s top events, the 2017 London Marathon. So, what about after the marathon? Now you need to give your body the best chance of recovering so that you are ready to do it all again or just be able to walk down the stairs tomorrow. One of the key ingredients to helping your muscles recover is protein. Protein will assist with repairing your muscles and jerky and biltong are a natural source of protein for you to consume. Being made from 100% silverside beef this is the perfect source of natural protein for you to snack on. With on average 37g of protein per 100g of jerky and a fantastic 55.2g of protein per 100g of biltong, giving you a range of options and flavours to choose from. You won’t need to eat all of this at once as the body can only digest around xx protein per siting and you should spread your protein intake throughout the day to gain maximum benefit. Ideally you should go for around 20g of protein per serving but what does this look like? Insert infographic. So, what to go for jerky or biltong? You can decide for yourself, see how we make our jerky and biltong? Jerky video/biltong infographic Also, it is down to your personal preference about what texture and flavour you want in a snack.
