Jerky – a Much Healthier Christmas Nibble

Christmas is just around the corner and everywhere you go you are faced with treats. Whether you’re at your work’s Christmas party or the annual street get together, there will be a nibble that is perfect for your favourite tipple. However, some of us as are still trying to stick to our healthy eating and fitness plans, which can be incredibly difficult this time of year. If you’re wanting to stay away from the classic nibbles like crisps, nuts, frozen platters and sausage rolls, or you’re looking to spruce up your serving platter, jerky and biltong could be a great alternative for you.

Jerky and biltong are available in beef, chicken and salmon, so there is a flavour for everybody.  It’s meaty enough to pair with your favourite Christmas drink (beer, wine or whisky) just like you would pair drinks with cured meats such as prosciutto and charcuterie boards.
