John Shorter competed in Pickup Truck Racing during 2016 for his second year. He was looking to defend his Pickup Pro 2 Championship title which he won in 2015 during his first season.
Unfortunately due to a house move and work commitments, we was unable to compete in all events, eventually managing to do 5 of the 10 events on the race calendar. These included Brands Hatch, Rockingham, Silverstone and Pembrey, where he scored his highest finish place to date (7th) in extremely difficult conditions caused by torrential downpours. He had several successful races, beating competitors in trucks from the Pro1 category and improving his lap times on all circuits attended. This meant he finished 2nd overall in the Pro 2 category for 2016.
John and his team are now going to upgrade to the Pro1 category for the 2017 season and start looking for a podium finish!
We wish John all the best this season and we can’t wait to see what he achieves in 2017!
