Why is Jerky Becoming Such a Popular Snack?

There can’t be too many of us that don’t like a snack at some point during the day. But the problem has long been that so many snacks – crisps and chocolate being prime examples – are typically high in fat, and whilst they might taste good they seldom offer higher protein balanced nutrition.

Beef Jerky is high in protein, low in fat and definitely tastes great. There are often misconceptions that biltong is overly-chewy, however, one try will quickly dispel that myth.

For sports, work, on the go, or just relaxing at home

A packet of jerky is also light to carry in a sports bag or backpack and doesn’t need refrigeration. You don’t have to be an Olympic runner or arctic explorer to enjoy jerky; it’s also the perfect snack when at work, on the go, or just at home to share (or just to keep all to yourself) with family and friends.
